Hi [FIRST NAME GOES HERE], 2024 was a big year! From inspiring keynotes to launching exciting new projects and bringing more and more Finance Pros like you into using AI in Finance. JanuaryThe year started with a memorable moment—a keynote on AI for Finance at the headquarters of Ferrero (producer of Nutella, Ferrero Rochers and Kinder). The room was buzzing with anticipation as the Finance Team of Ferrero leaned in to hear how AI could revolutionize their job. And, of course, I brought chocolate back home for my kids ;) FebruaryNext stop: back to Luxembourg again. I organised an AI workshop for KPMG Finance Team. It was a great opportunity to go from GenerativeAI to practical use cases of AI in Finance. It wasn’t just a workshop— the goal was to plant the seeds for a smarter, more agile future for their finance team. MarchIn my career, March has always been the busiest month. It's a long month without school or public holidays, and it was also busy as an entrepreneur! First I participated for the first time as a trainer for the AWS CFO Fellowship where I taught how to use AI in Finance for fast growing start ups. Then I wrapped up the FP&A program I have been conducting for the Finance Team of Castel Group, one of the leader brewery company in Africa. I love teaching FP&A because in 5 days we covered so much: from budget to financial analysis and I even had a session on teaching them how to use Copilot for Finance! AprilHere’s where things got deeply more in-person: I organized the first European Mastermind for Finance Thought Leaders with my friends Soufyan Hamid, Christian Martinez, and Kris Heyndrikx. This demonstrated again that from the virtual world of LinkedIn, you can make real in person connections and create friendship. Besides that I ran a ChatGPT for Finance for the portfolio companies of a private equity company: FSN. We went deep into use cases like ChatGPT for performance management or financial analysis. MayI've got the honor to work for Wharton and record a specific ChatGPT for FP&A Course in the frame of their FP&A Certificate Program. Since then, over 500 people took the course! On another note, I've volunteered to teach LinkedIn to 30 media students. Their energy and curiosity reminded me that we’re all learners, no matter where we are in our careers. I also launched my Instagram account this month! If you'd like to stay connected and see more behind-the-scenes updates, follow me there. JuneAfter six months of intense work, I published the Top 100 AI Finance Tools Marketmap. It felt like assembling a treasure map for finance professionals. Around the same time, I launched my first CPE course, "ChatGPT Mastery for Management Accountants." Knowing that my course is approved by the biggest CPE accreditation institution is something I am really proud of! I re-activated my YouTube channel in June. This is where you can find exclusive content on AI for Finance. Check it out and subscribe because I am posting every week! JulyIn July, I had the chance to go deep into training sessions for Poshmark, covering ChatGPT and Python for Finance. These weren’t just technical workshops—they were moments of identifying use cases for participants and teaching them how AI will really change their job. And a big milestone: we welcomed our 100th member in the AI Finance Club (now we are more than 170 members). Making it the number one community for finance pros who want to stay at the top on how to use AI in Finance in just 1h per week. AugustI pressed pause. No AI, no workshops—just time at the Olympics and on the French Atlantic coast with my family. If you love seafood and nature, I highly recommend you to visit Quiberon or Ile de Ré! SeptemberBack to the stage—this time at the Accounting Summit in Germany and AI for Finance in Paris. Speaking about AI for Finance to an audience that’s as curious and driven as I am was a highlight of the year. In my keynotes I really want to be specific and demonstrate real use cases because I think there are too much fluff out of there. The best reward was when the participants came back to me and told me how much they learned during my sessions and how concrete it was compared to most of other keynotes. This was exactly the effect I wanted! OctoberI conducted another in-person training at Markem-Imaje in Stuttgart on AI for Finance. It was great to see how a finance team accelerated their knowledge on AI for Finance to go from beginner to advanced in just two days! In October I also entered into a collaboration with SAP, helping them showcase how AI is transforming their tools. NovemberHamburg welcomed me for a keynote at the Accounting Leaders Summit with Floqast. It was an opportunity to demonstrate real advanced use cases on how to use AI for Finance. I also helped promoting the launch of one of the most innovative AI tool for investing: Bigdata.com. DecemberAnd here we are, at the end of the year, celebrating some big wins. The biggest one: reaching 1 million followers on LinkedIn (imagine that two years ago, I had less than 10k followers!). It felt surreal. And that’s about so much more than numbers, it’s a reflection of the incredible community we’ve built together. Thank you for this!! (You can rewatch the replay of the streaming showcasing when I crossed 1 million followers here). December also marked the AI Finance Club’s first anniversary, the best place to learn how to use AI in Finance. I am really proud to have built this community as we keep learning so much from each other! Finally, to start 2025, I want to offer you a 5-Day AI for Finance Fundamentals program. Click here if you want to enroll (it's free). To all of you who’ve been part of this ride—thank you. Whether you’ve attended a workshop, shared a post, or simply read this far, you’ve made this year unforgettable. Here’s to 2025. Let’s make it extraordinary together. Warmly, P.S. if you want to work together this year (training your team, hiring me for a keynote, or join the AI Finance Club, just reply to this email). |

Let me take you back to a meeting I had a few years ago. My team and I had spent hours pulling numbers, crafting slides, and rehearsing every word of our presentation for the executive team. When it was my turn to speak, I thought we were set—until the CEO asked, "Why not show today’s results instead of two-week-old data?” He was right. Our outdated data and slow closing process left us stuck, unable to say if the situation improved or deteriorated. Sound familiar, right? Fast forward to...
